Grossglockner - Austria
The Großglockner (3,798 m, 12,461 ft) is Austria's highest mountain. Located on the border between two Austrian provinces, Carintia and East Tyrol, along the main ridge of the Hohe Tauern. The Austria's biggest glacier, Pasterze Glacier, lies at the foot of Grossglockner, it is 5 miles (8 km) long and 3 miles (5 km) wide. The pyramid-shaped peak consists of two pinnacles, the Großglockner and the Kleinglockner (3,700 m; klein means "small" in German), separated by a saddle-like formation known as the Glocknerscharte.
